چکیده

—New preparation methods of superconducting materials and other multicomponent systems. We discuss the synthesis of multicomponent oxides such as the superconducting phase YBa2Cu307 in the form of powders and thick fílms. They are prepared from hydrolyzed solutions which yield viscous gels suitable for spin-coating or precipitates, precursors of ceramics. We discuss the role of the precursors, the heating rate, the processing temperature and the atmosphere. As an example, coprecipitation of hydroxides yields a reactive mixture under carbon-free atmosphere. The perovskite phase is obtained around 750 °C but has poor metallic and superconducting properties that we relate to crystallographic defects and small grain size. We describe a study of these defects that result from the mechanism of the phase formation. RESUMEN.—Nuevos métodos de preparación de materiales superconductores y otros sistemas multicomponentes. Se discute la síntesis de óxidos multicomponentes tal como el material superconductor YBa2Cu307 en forma de polvo y de lámina gruesa. Los mismos fueron preparados a partir de soluciones precursoras que, por hidrólisis, daban geles apropiados para obtener láminas por rotación y/o ser precipitadas^ Se discute el papel de los precursores, velocidad de calentamiento, temperatura de procesado y la atmósfera. Como ejemplo se da la coprecipitación de hidróxidos que conduce a una mezcla muy reactiva cuando se trabaja en atmósfera libre de carbón. La fase perovskita se obtiene a una temperatura tan baja como 750 °C pero tiene un mal comportamiento tanto metálico como superconductor, lo cual se ha relacionado con defectos cristalográficos y un muy pequeño tamaño de grano. Se describe el estudio de estos defectos que, al parecer, se generan durante el proceso de formación de dicha fase.
